1. Introduction

Mr. Li obtained BSc degree in Veterinary Medicine from Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University, China in 1997; an MSc degree in Basic Veterinary Medicine from Northeast Agricultural University, China in 2005; and a PhD degree in Preventive Veterinary Medicine from Northeast Agricultural university in 2008. Mr. Li worked at Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences from 1997 to 2008. Since July 2008, Mr. Li has been employed at Shanghai Veterinary Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Li’s research group is focused on: 1) Epidemiology of major swine infectious diseases; 2) Development of diagnosis, antiviral agents and vaccines for pseudorabies virus, coronavirus, porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus, classical swine fever virus, emerging and reemerging animal viruses.  Li has published more than 20 research papers in the international journals and developed 2 vaccines that has been wildly used for preventing and control animal diseases in China.
