1. Introduction
Li Zejun, Professor, Doctor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Chief Scientist of the team. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of Shanghai Veterinary Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He is a member of the National Biosafety Expert Committee of the National Pathogenic Microorganism Laboratory, the Chairman of the Veterinary Public Health Branch of the Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, the Chairman of the Livestock Veterinary Immunology Committee of the Shanghai Immunology Society, and an expert in the Veterinary Drug Review Expert Database. He has been selected as a national leading figure in scientific and technological innovation, a national outstanding agricultural scientific research talent, a young and middle-aged leading figure in scientific and technological innovation of the Ministry of Science and Technology’s “Innovative Talents Promotion Program,” and a leading talent in Shanghai. He has won a second prize of the National Natural Science Award and was awarded the title of “National Most Beautiful Science and Technology Worker” and the Shanghai May 1st Labor Medal in 2015.
He has made significant contributions to the field of poultry health. He has successfully led over 20 national and provincial-level projects. Additionally, he has mentored and supervised more than 40 master's and doctoral students. His research findings have been published in prestigious domestic and international journals, such as PNAS and JVI, with a total of over 100 papers, including more than 50 SCI papers. His work has been widely recognized and cited by others, with over 900 citations. Furthermore, he has authored two monographs, obtained more than 10 national invention patents, and received two certificates for the registration of new veterinary drugs, as well as one agriculture industry standard certification.
