1. Introduction

Yu Hai, Ph.D., professor, doctoral supervisor, research scientist of the research team for the prevention and control of porcine viral reproductive disorders, member of the Veterinary Microbiology Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Microbiology, and member of the Young Scholars Professional Group of the Animal Infectious Diseases Branch of the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine. In 2010, Professor Yu was awarded the "National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award" by the Ministry of Education and the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council; In 2015, Professor Yu was selected as a leading talent in Minhang District, Shanghai. In 2016, Professor Yu was selected as a member of the Youth Talent Program of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences for the cultivation of scientific research talents.

Professor Yu engaged in long-term research on molecular epidemiology of porcine viral diseases, development of genetically engineered vaccines, and molecular pathogenic mechanisms, and completed the transformation of one scientific and technological achievement. Professor Yu hosted national natural science foundation projects, national international science and technology cooperation sub projects, national natural science foundation youth projects, Shanghai natural science foundation and other projects, and trained (including joint training) 2 doctoral students and 17 master's students. Professor Yu published 30 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author in journals such as Emerging Infectious Diseases, Journal of Infection, Journal of Clinical Microbiology, Transboundary and Emerging Diseases, and Veterinary Microbiology, and served as the deputy editor in chief to write one monograph on Swine Influenza, obtaining 8 patents.
