Research Fields: pathogenic mechanisms of porcine viral diseases and the development of novel vector vaccines

1. Introduction

My research focuses on the pathogenic mechanisms of porcine viral diseases and the development of novel vector vaccines. I have led projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and the Sub-Project of the National Key Research and Development Program during the 13th Five-Year Plan and 14th Five-Year Plan. My research mainly involves the immunology and pathogenesis of highly pathogenic porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) and the development of new vaccines. I have established porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV)-related detection and diagnostic methods. Based on the attenuated vaccine strain HuN4-F112 of highly pathogenic PRRSV, I have successfully constructed and obtained a series of novel genetically engineered vaccine candidates expressing exogenous genes using reverse genetic manipulation and gene recombination techniques. Some of these research achievements have been put into practical applications.
