The Key Laboratory of Veterinary Chemical Drugs and Preparations of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs was established in July 2018. With the concept of "One Earth, One Health", focusing on the major needs of animal disease prevention and control, sustainable development of breeding industry and food safety of animal sources, and with the main goal of developing innovative veterinary chemical drugs and preparation theories and technologies, the laboratory carries out basic and applied basic research on target mining, molecular design and synthesis, pharmacodynamic evaluation, drug metabolism and toxicity mechanism of veterinary chemical drugs, as well as applied research and development of new and efficient veterinary APIs and their new preparations. At present, the key laboratory has 8 fixed senior professional titles, obtained 2 national first-class new veterinary drug certificates, undertaken more than 10 national, provincial and ministerial projects, declared and authorized more than 20 invention patents, published 3 monographs, published more than 50 high-level papers, and trained more than 20 graduate students.
