As the management department of SHVRI's large-scale instrument and equipment sharing platform and public laboratory, the Central Laboratory of Instrument Service is responsible for the unified management of the use of public and large-scale instrument and equipment throughout the institute. It is a public technology service platform open to the whole institute and society for sharing. We have technical service platforms such as flow cytometry analysis platform, microscopic imaging experimental platform, molecular biology experimental platform, sample preparation experimental platform, and electron microscopy experimental platform.

We currently have 4 staff members and 61 units of instruments and equipment, including 17 large instruments and equipment worth over 500,000 yuan and 4 ultra large equipment worth over 2 million yuan.

We utilize the "Large scale Instrument and Equipment Information Sharing Management System of CAAS" to achieve functions such as online query, online reservation, online consultation, and data statistics of equipment. It achieves the informatization and intelligent management of instrument and equipment, and improves the efficiency and management level of scientific research instrument and equipment utilization.

The Central Laboratory of Instrument Service has also joined the Shanghai R&D Public Service Platform, providing open and shared instrument and equipment services to Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region. To date, we have provided equipment and technical services to multiple small and medium-sized enterprises, hospitals, universities, and research institutes in Shanghai and surrounding areas, achieving maximum resource sharing.
