On March 5th, a delegation led by Commercial Consul Halmai Dzsenifer , Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai, and Consul for Culture and Education Füle János Róbert visited SHVRI. Prof. Ma Zhiyong, Director of SHVRI and Prof. Han Xuesong, Ddeputy Director, met with the delegation. Prof. Jiang Yifeng, Director of the Scientific Research Management Division, chaired the meeting.
Prof. Ma welcomed Consul Dzsenifer's visit and introduced SHVRI’s recent achievements in international cooperation. He emphasized that Hungary is an important country along The Belt and Road. SHVRI attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with Hungarian universities, and willing to work along with Hungarian Consulate General in Shanghai to boost exchanges with Hungarian universities in various fields. This meeting will surely inject new impetus into SHVRI’s promoting of agricultural science and technology cooperation of The Belt and Road.
Prof. Han stated that this meeting deepened the understanding between the two sides and exchanged cooperation ideas, he expressed the hopeness of in-depth cooperation with Budapest Veterinary University in areas such as exchange visits, project cooperation and platform construction through the matchmaking of Hungarian Consulate General in Shanghai, to achieve a win-win cooperation and coordinated development. He said that SHVRI practice the principle of openness, inclusiveness and mutual learning, if both sides could give full play to each advantages, we could further deepen and implement the scientific research exchanges with Budapest Veterinary University under the guidance of the high-quality development initiative of The Belt and Road.
Consul Dzsenife highly praised the achievemnets that SHVRI have made, shared some outline fo Hungary and introduced Budapest Veterinary University in paticular; she hoped that both sides would actively engage in exchanges and cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine based the solid fundation of friendly development between China and Hungary. She stated that the Hungarian Consulate General in Shanghai will continue to support in coordinating and promoting practical cooperation between SHVRI and Budapest Veterinary University.
