In order to expand the scientific research fields and strengthen the international communications, Shanghai Veterinary Research Institute (CAAS) held “International weekly workshop session” during April 20 to 28, 2015. More than 10 domestic and foreign scientists were invited, including Dr. Michal Veit from Free University, Berlin, Professor Michal Olszewski from Michian University, Professor Richard E. Davis and Lee A. Niswander from Colorado University, Professor Dingxiang Liu and Dr. Huang Mei from Nanyang Technology University, Singapore, Professor Qian Han from Hainan University, P. R. China.  

  The excellent seminars were hosted on animal influenza, swine reproduction and respiratory syndrome virus, activation of macrophage cells, parasites and DNA elimination, and communication of parasites with the hosts, respectively. Upon the latest research progresses, the workshop attracted nearly 400 researchers, and graduate students to attend the session.       During the workshop session, the experts discussed the scientific proposals with the eight innovation research teams, built a friendship bridge for research collaborations and academic exchanges, and look for the interested fields in the future.
